I´ve been suffering from insomnia and sleep paralysis to go with it from time to time. This is from the time, that I started to get a grip on it. I got to know the signs early and could usually snap out of it, before it came on full blast. Then they started "evolving". I started to have dreams, that start normally and change suddenly towards a sleep paralysis experience. This is one of those dreams.

I was in hotel room with my sister and my best friend. There was also another woman with us, I think she was my friend in the dream, allthough I didn´t know her. The room was quite plain. The walls were grayish white color and empty. There was o double bed at the middle of the room, on the longer wall. There were no windows. I was sitting on the bed with my sister or bestie. Behind my back were the door and a walk in linen closet. I turned as the woman, whom I did not know, went to the closet to get the bedsheets. We were chatting and laughing aloud, having fun. Just a normal, anyday situation, I think. I was in a good mood, feeling relaxed when suddenly I felt the dream change. At this point I must say, I knew all the time I was dreaming, as I often do. Now I felt the dream change and it was so sudden. I didnt expect it at all. I felt threatened. The woman walked in to the linen closet and her chattering stopped mid-sentence. Now I was half awake, cause I could feel the sleep paralysis taking hold of me. I was trying to shake it off. Then there was this strange noise coming from the closet. I could see from the corner of my eye, the woman sliding out of the closet door like melted wax figure. She was bending in an unnarutal way and the sound she made. I can´t even discribe it. It was almost like laughing, but not guite right. She was coming towards the bed that I was sitting on. I was trying to wake my self. I felt my body twist and turn on the bed, my hands twisting in weird angles. Then I woke, but I was exatly in the position that I had fallen asleep in. I hadn´t moved at all. To make sure I was really awake, I had to walk around my apartment to put on all the lights. Took me a long time to calm down after that. It was scary as shit, ´cause I didn´t expect it to happen. It cought me of quard.

During the last couple of nights I´ve had the feeling of an upcoming sleep paralysis on me. This is why I wanted to share this story. Maybe, if I talk about them, thay will lose theyr power over me.
