This story dates back to when I was 15 years old. I’d recently moved from Chicago Illinois to Saint Paul Minnesota to live with my mother and younger siblings. We lived in a one bedroom apartment at that time and with all of our belongings the place was a bit crowded. I’ve always believed in the paranormal and other worldly things giving the fact that my family are very spiritual and superstitious believers, but I never thought I would have an encounter that would totally shift my perspective of how I thought and felt about the paranormal, forever. One Night during summer break I found myself sitting on the floor in the living with the lights off jamming to some new tunes I came across on a burned CD, I remember my mother was outside in the front of the apartment having a chat with some neighbors because our apartment was at the front of the building and I could easily see her whenever I looked out of the window. I had recently started playing a new song at that time called “Turned Up” by Rascoe Dash at that moment I had my back turned away from the window and I was facing towards the couch that sat against the wall. When you walk into the apartment there’s a little hallway with a closet on the left side and a book shelf on the right before entering the living room space where the couch is sitting on the right up against the wall, now pay attention the that because shit get spooky after this. Sitting there on the living room floor with the lights off facing towards the couch I found myself in a daze staring off into the dark with the moon being the only light source I had illuminating into the living room. In a split second for some reason my sixth sense kicked in fast and I snapped back into reality out of my dazed state. When it did I could see the blackest silhouette I’ve ever seen in my life peering at me from around the corner of the wall that lead into the hallway going towards the front door. At that moment my vision began to focus on the figure standing and I was clearly able to make out what it was. It felt as if right then the figure knew that I could see it standing there looking at me then it quickly disappeared back around the corner out of sight. I was scared and began to panic for a bit because I thought someone had came into the house, but then I remembered that mom and the neighbors were still outside chatting it away and if someone was to enter the home then I would’ve heard the front door open because of it’s old wooden frame. I then immediately got up from where I sat and ran into the hallway where I saw the figure standing and turned on the light and nothing nor no one was there. I checked the closet and found nothing as well. I told my mom and she believed me, but over the years this story becomes nothing more than fuel for conversation about the paranormal or spirit realm whenever friends and family mention the topic. This experience was not that scary as others who may have had their own, but it definitely chilled me to the bone and it is something I’ll never forget.

If it gets violent, call a catholic priest. If it doesn't, just let it stay there. That's the best course of action.
Love is the most amazing thing in the universe. It has the power to create, build, bond, and destroy everything around it in the snap of a finger.
